Call for extended abstracts

The Second International Workshop on Ubiquitous Reconfigurable Computing Platforms for Adaptive, Secure and Distributed Computing Systems will be held in conjunction with 16th IEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing (HiPC 2009). The workshop will be held on Day-1 of the conference (December 16, 2009). The focus of this workshop is to draw attention to prospective authors and participants in the development of innovative architecture and design solutions to support ubiquitous reconfigurable system platforms. The workshop will present a unique forum to both end users (application developers) and technology solution developers to exchange ideas and discuss potentials and opportunities for reconfigurable computing for industrial applications. The workshop encourages papers that present the problem from a user application perspective that has a potential reconfigurable/FPGA computing solution and/or papers addressing technology application to critical areas but not limited to information and network security, sensor fabric computing and high performance reconfigurable acceleration engines for hybrid computing. Extended abstracts of 3-5 pages preferably in PDF shall be submitted by September 15, 2009 October 1, 2009 via email to Workshop chair.

All extended abstract submitted to the workshop will be peer reviewed and authors will be notified of acceptance/rejection decisions by October 15, 2009.

The workshop advance program will be posted on the workshop's website well in advance of the workshop. Camera-Ready papers of accepted extended abstracts should be submitted by November 15, 2009.

Manuscript Guidelines for Camera-Ready Papers

Submitted manuscripts should be structured as technical papers and may not exceed 10 letter size (8.5 x 11) pages including figures, tables and references using the IEEE format for conference proceedings (print area of 6-1/2 inches (16.51 cm) wide by 8-7/8 inches (22.51 cm) high, two- column format with columns 3-1/16 inches (7.85 cm) wide with a 3/8 inch (0.81 cm) space between them, single-spaced 10-point Times fully justified text). Submissions not conforming to these guidelines may be returned without review. Authors should submit the manuscript in PDF format and make sure that the file will print on a printer that uses letter size (8.5 x 11) paper. The official language of the meeting is English.
