The CNEC Chapter

This is the web site for the Central New England Council (CNEC) of the IEEE Education Society.

The CNEC is composed of the:

  • Boston IEEE Section
  • Maine IEEE Section
  • New Hampshire IEEE Section
  • Providence IEEE Section
  • Worcester County IEEE Section

Goals, Objectives, and Field of Interest

The goals and objectives of the Education Society are to advance the theory, practice and accessibility of engineering education and to assist in achieving overall IEEE goals. Specific objectives can be grouped into three categories: improve service to members, provide service to community and society, and improve communications. Strengthening the society is essential in order to achieve these objectives.

The Education Society's field-of-interest includes: educational methods, educational technology, instructional materials, history of science and technology, and educational and professional development programs within electrical engineering, computer engineering, and allied disciplines.

CNEC Chapter Information
