Measurement Computing Corp. is seeking an entry level Application Engineer with strong problem solving and Windows programming skills. This individual will help customers configure and utilize Measurement Computing Corporation’s PC-based data acquisition hardware and software. Through a question and answering process, primarily over the telephone and email, this individual will help the customer solve their measurement problem.
An Application Engineer provides a broad range of support to users in various technical and scientific fields, from troubleshooting product installation and basic operation, interfacing to chosen sensors and data sources, and coding software to collect, store, and interpret the data. The individual will interact with our design engineering, design verification, production test, marketing, and sales personnel in pursuit of solutions for the customer.
This position requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering with 0-3 years of experience. The individual must have practical experience with standard bench top instrumentation and a solid understanding of electronics. The individual must have demonstrable capability with a programming language (Visual Basic, Visual C#, and/or Visual C++), and must be proficient with Windows 2000/XP/Vista. The individual must also have excellent listening, telephone, written and verbal communication skills, as well as qualities of persistence and initiative. Experience with Ethernet devices and/or LabVIEW is a plus.
