A meeting of the IEEE Buffalo Section Board was held at University At Buffalo Davis Hall, Room 230A, in Amherst, NY, on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 6:30 PM.

The Secretary is on convalescent leave and tasks have been assigned temporarily to a board member.
Developments in the Buffalo Section’s Balance Sheet:
The Treasurer reported on activity from last month.
By motion, the Board selected the Chapter Chair of AICN as primary delegate for the August IEEE Sections Conference.
By motion, the Board accepted the proposed September IEEE Hamilton Joint Section Tour of the Rankine Generating Station.
The Vice Chair reported on the IEEE Distinguished Speakers Lecture of June 18.
The Chapter Chair of AICN reported on the AICN Meeting of July 14.
The Committee Chair of Membership Development announced the name change of GOLD to the Young Professionals Program.
Committee Chair of Membership Development reported on membership activity.
The Chair reported on the IEEE.org search engine functions for Section events, worldwide activities, and conferences.
The Chair requested a review of Section activity events in the previous calendar year (2013). (Ott/Moskal)
The Chair requested advertising for AICN Meetings on the TSC Calendar. (Moskal/Mierzwa)
Chair requested registration of the primary delegate for the IEEE Sections
Chair authorized a request to all board members for IEEE equipment and
documents of historic value. (Koch/Moskal)
The Chair scheduled the next Section Storage Committee meeting for July 18. (Moskal/Ott/ Mierzwa)
It was agreed that the next meeting of the Board would be held in August (TBD) at UB Davis Hall,  Room 230A, in Amherst, NY.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
