Russell Harrison from the IEEE-USA will discuss legislative initiatives in Washington. IEEE members have a stake in many bills being considered by Congress, including patent reform, electrical grid restructuring, R&D funding, work visa reform and privacy issues. Russell will explain how Congress is looking at these issues, what Congress is likely to do with them this year, and our prospects for 2005. He will also be able to discuss any legislative concerns of the section members." The
