ABOUT IEEE GOLD
GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) is a program developed to help student members transition to young professionals. GOLD offers programs and services to graduating students, recent graduates and young engineers.
The GOLD Committee Charter states its vision as:
"To increase value and worth of IEEE services and programs to young professionals and recent graduates"

"To develop and foster relationships to provide tangible value to members; Promote the GOLD program to students; Recruit, develop and nurture volunteers"

How do I become a member of GOLD?
After you have graduated with your first professional degree, IEEE will identify you as an IEEE GOLD member. This is an automatic process. The IEEE GOLD identifier covers a 10-year period from this first graduation. If you continue your education into graduate work after graduation and remain an IEEE Student Member, you will not be identified as an IEEE GOLD member.
