Brief meeting organisation report: The lecture was sponsored by Rational
software India and held at Hotel Chancery. Prof. Sankaran welcomed the
audience. Mr Bhaskaran introduced the speaker and co-ordinated the Q&A
session. Mr Madan, Vice chair,CCEM presented a memento to the speaker.
Prof. Sankaran thanked the audience. Mr Arjun provided registration
support.

Brief summary of the talk:
Are we living in "Software Hell", as Business Week recently described?
When it comes to testing, it often seems like it, for as development
tools make it easier to produce increasingly complex systems, systems
become harder and harder to test. This presentation discussed the four
macro trends in software development.

About the speaker

Dr. Ivar Jacobson is one of the great thought-leaders in the software
world where he has made several seminal contributions. He is a father of
components and component architecture, use cases, modern business
engineering, the Unified Modelling Language and the Rational Unified
Process. He is the principal author of five influential and best-selling
books. He has written more than 50 papers and he is a keynote speaker at
several large conferences around the world.
