It is suggested that IEEE Kerala section can take lead in providing following voluntary services
(or on charges at actuals) to Industries in Kerala State.
1. Conducting Electrical safety audits
2. Conducting Energy audits
3. Accident investigations
4. Training Operation and Maintenance engineers
5. Conducting seminars and workshops, on specific topics,as required by the Industry
6. Consultancy for setting standards, recommended practices (supplementary to Statutes)
7. Assisting in preparing designs and technical specifications to conform with IEEE guidelines
8. Publishing a technical journal of the above activities at least on a quarterly basis

A discussion on this propsal with the Industries Department, Govt.of Kerala will help.Govt.may provide suitable directions to the managements of various Industries,so that IEEE - Kerala may be assigned an advisory role both to the Govt. and Industry.

This will add to the prestige of our Institution in All India and International forums
