Internship at NUST Islamabad

Dear IEEE Students of Lahore Section,

 
At The Pakistan Student's Congress, Dr. Arshad Ali, Director General NUST-SEECS Islamabad, has announced 4 Research Internships of 8-weeks duration. Two Internships will be given to IEEE Lahore Section and two will be given to IEEE Karachi Section.

The objective is to bring IEEE Sections of Pakistan close to each other.

The internship will start on 20th June, 09 and it will include accommodation at SEECS, research work under SEECS Faculty and payment of a stipend the amount for which is yet to be fixed.
 
A committee set up by Dr. Syed Zahoor Hasan, Chairman IEEE Lahore Section will select 4 students. Finally out of these four NUST will interview and select the two best from Lahore Section.

Please do not send your applications directly to NUST as NUST will NOT entertain any application directly.
 
Please submit your resume promptly by Friday, June 11, 2009 to Ishtiaq Sahib at:

In the resume please give the following:

(i). Your academic achievements and your area of research interest (see NUST Research Areas given below).

(ii). Your IEEE information, i.e ..... ( IEEE Number + IEEE Student Branch Affiliation + Your Branch Counselor's name and Contact )..... 

(iii). A brief summary of your Contribution to the IEEE Student Activities of your branch.

(iv). A statement of 5-7 lines saying how this particular Internship will be beneficial for you.

At NUST, all research activity is primarily focused towards achieving the objective of speedy attainment of industrial capability in newly emerging fields of sciences, engineering and technology in the context of highly scientific and technological areas of national interest.  Specific areas in which research is currently pursued at NUST are as follows:

* Automobile Engineering
* Civil Engineering
* Computer Engineering
* Computer Software Engineering
* Telecommunication Engineering
* Electrical Engineering (Electronics)
* Mechanical Engineering
