H.R. Mohan is currently Associate Vice President (Systems) of "The Hindu".

He is a Fellow of the Computer Society of India (CSI) and is part of the Executive Committees of CSI Chennai, ORSI, MALA, RCIS. He is also associated with numerous NGOs in areas such as content development, education in schools, training and market research.

He is the Editor of "Link", the IEEE Madras Section newsletter. He also serves as the Editor of "Infoline", the newsletter of CSI Madras Chapter.
