Prof. R.T. Sakthidaran is a senior member of IEEE and is currently Professor and Head of the Department of Information Technology at KLN College of Engineering, Madurai.

He holds a M.Tech (Elec) from IIT Madras and a Diploma in Management from AIMA.He is a Life Fellow of Institution of Engineers and Senior Member of IEEE. He is an IRCA, UK Certified QMS: 2000 auditor and an IBM Certified Database Associate (DB2). His biography has been selected by Marquis, USA for inclusion in their "Marquis' Who is who in the world - 2007", 24th Edition.

He has served for more than 29 years in industry before coming into academics four years ago. His experience spans project management (automation), system development (hardware and software), maintenance, quality assurance, budgeting and procurement activities
