About Us:
The city of Pune, which is one of the biggest industrial towns in India, is an important cultural, educational and industrial center in western India. With Pune’s growing importance in the global high tech industry especially in the fields of ICT, automobiles, and education, IEEE Pune subsection was established in November 2003.
The subsection comes under the jurisdiction of IEEE Bombay Section, which falls under Region 10 (Asia Pacific Region) of IEEE. The subsection is having around 400 professional members and having strong base of more than 1000 student members through its 20 student Branches. The subsection interfaces with the industries and the academia through various technical activities and social awareness programs.

Through such interaction, it organizes various activities throughout the year, which are helpful to the professional members as well as for student’s community in and around the Pune City for their skill set upgradation. The subsection and its student branches endeavor to contribute to the advancement of the knowledge of its community through activities that provide professional information exchanges and stimulate technological innovations. Meetings of the Subsection officers, interactions with the Student Branch Counselors and representatives are held on regular basis to discuss the ideas and plans for activities.
