The Microwave Theory and Techniques/Antennas and Propagation Societies Chapter won the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Outstanding Chapter Award for 2013. The award was presented at the 2014 International Microwave Symposium in Tampa, Florida.

- A student member of the Microwave Theory and Techniques/Antennas and Propagation Societies Chapter, Laurence Chueng, was awarded the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society's Undergraduate Scholarship for Fall 2014.
- Based on its performance in 2013, the Power and Energy Society Chapter was recognized in the IEEE Power and Energy Society's High Performing Chapter program in 2014. In recognition of its success the chapter received a cheque for $610 from its parent society.
- Based on its performance in 2013, the Power and Energy Society Chapter won a place in the IEEE Power and Energy Society's Outstanding Chapter Award program for 2014.
