This position will plan and execute requirements of the Strategic Business Unit and the Cell. The position will be held accountable for cost, delivery, and quality of operations on all equipment as directed by the Cell Leader.

• Planning, executing and reporting of priorities
• Providing general production support for machining and/or assembly area as needed
• Communication liaison between engineering, production, marketing, purchasing, etc. and cell leader
• Collaborates efforts with team members and works as a team player.
• Determining the proper processes.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years manufacturing experience with demonstrated ability to produce results per project schedules and cost targets
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Innovative process design skills

Duties: The University of Akron's Engineering and Science Technology Department seeks to add to its pool of part-time faculty in the following program areas: Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, Mechanical, Drafting, Surveying, and Construction Engineering Technologies with immediate need in Electronic Engineering Technology and Manufacturing Engineering Technology.

Instructors with expertise are needed in: Manufacturing Management, Industrial Safety, Production and Inventory Control, Manufacturing Automation, Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Simulation, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Certification, Introductory Circuit Analysis, Analog Electronics and Digital Electronics.

Qualifications: Master's Degree required, PE preferred.
