Wright State University (WSU) and
IEEE Dayton Section hosted Communication and RF Technologies Workshop
Presentations are available online.
Wright State University (WSU) and IEEE Dayton Section hosted Communication
and RF Technologies Workshop on 29 April, 2011 at Joshi Center, Wright
State University. Presentations of Dr. Zhu Han and Dr. Rong Zheng (both
from Univ. of Houston) are available below
Compressive Sensing
For Lidar and Cognitive Radio Applications
-- A new paradigm of signal acquisition and processing, named compressive
sensing, appeared around 2004. Since then, the compressive sensing theory,
which links data acquisition, compression, dimensionality reduction and
optimization, has attracted significant research attention.
Binary Independent
Component Analysis and Its Applications
-- In many real-world scenarios, independent latent processes manifest
through binary OR mixtures that are directly observable. Examples are
losses of probe messages at end hosts in communication networks, spectrum
occupancy due to heterogeneous wireless technologies, primary user activities
detected by distributed spectrum monitors, and targets observed by low-end
sensor array.
