Gerard J. Christman is a Senior Systems Engineer and Program Manager with Femme Comp Incorporated and a Senior Member of the IEEE. He supports the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration. Mr. Christman served as the 2008 Chair of the Washington Section and previously held other officer positions in the section. In 2009, he began terms as a Director of the Washington Section and as the IEEE South Area Chair. (The South Area includes the Washington, Northern Virginia, and Baltimore Sections and the Annapolis Subsection.) He holds a B. Eng. Electrical with Honors from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, N.Y.; a dual M.A. in Telecom and Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri; and is ABD in a Ph.D. Information Systems program at Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He is a member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the international information and computing sciences honor society; and Eta Kappa Nu, the national computer and electrical engineering honor society.
