IEEE POWER ENGINEERING SOCIETY

The purposes of the Power Engineering Society are technical, scientific, literary, and educational. The PES shall strive for the advancement of the theory and practice of electrical engineering and the related arts and sciences, in consonance with the Constitution and Bylaws of IEEE. It shall give special attention to such aims within its field of interest defined under scope.

The scope of the Society embraces planning, research, development, design, application, construction, installation, and operation of apparatus, equipment, structures, materials and systems for the safe, reliable, and economic generation, transmission, distribution, conversion, measurement, and control of electric energy.
