This society is dedicated to advancing the theory, practice, and application
of computer and information processing technology. Through its conferences,
applications-related and research-oriented journals, local and
student chapters, distance learning
campus technical committees and standards
working groups, the Society promotes an active exchange of information, ideas, and technological innovation among its members.
In addition, the Society maintains close ties with the US Computing Sciences Accreditation Board
and Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, monitoring and evaluating
curriculum accreditation guidelines.
COMP/AESS Chapter Chair: James S. Lumia
Jim has a BSEE degree from Georgia Tech with postgraduate course work at USF in business and computer science. He
has experience as an analog and digital hardware design engineer and has an Electronic Design Automation (EDA)
tools background. He has been an application engineer, consultant, design automation manager, technical marketing
engineer and a sales engineer. Jim is presently doing business development and marketing for commercialization of
high technology military and government electronic products.
