MARCH

  • The Jamaica Section's annual social was held at Gloria's Rendezvous (restuarant), Port royal, on Saturday, March 5, 2005.

    The Section's monthly meeting was held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Knutsford Blvd, on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 6:00pm. The topic for presentation was: "Unified Conferencing and Collaboration".

    Mr Mario Plata was the presenter.

APRIL

  • Executive Committee Meeting.

MAY

  • The Section's monthly meeting was held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Knutsford Blvd, on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at 6:00pm. The topic for presentation was: "Uninterruptible Power systems".

    Mr Carlos Lugardo of IEC Products for Central America and the Caribbean, was the presenter.

JUNE

  • Executive Committee meeting.

JULY

  • The Section's monthly meeting was held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Knutsford Blvd, on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 6:00pm. The topic presented was: "Audio Power Amplifier Design".

    Mr Vincent Hewitt of the Department of Engineering - University of Technology, Jamaica was the presenter.

AUGUST

  • The monthly meeting was held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Knutsford Blvd, on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at 6:00pm. The topic for presentation was: "Wireless Data Networks".

    Mr Patrick Williams of Island Networks was the presenter.

SEPTEMBER

  • The Section's monthly meeting was held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Knutsford Blvd, on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at 6:30pm. The topic for presentation was: "Speech Enabled Interactive Voice Response".

    Mr David Riley, Manager, Interactive Voice Solutions was the presenter.

OCTOBER

  • Cancelled! The October monthly meeting will be held at the Engineering Conference Room, University of Technology, Jamaica, on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 6:00pm. The topic for presentation is: "Variable Speed Drives and Motors" .

    Mr Francisco Leal, Electrical Engineer, of ITEM Monterry, Mexico will be the presenter.

NOVEMBER

  • The November monthly meeting was held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 6:00pm. The topic for presentation was: " Voice Over Internet Protocol" . Mr Brian Shaw, Business Development Manager, Jamaica Network Access Point, was the presenter.

DECEMBER

  • The annual general meeting and election of Section officers for the year 2006 was held on Wednesday, December 2005 at 6:00pm at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Knutsford Blvd. The Nominating Committee made the following nominations for the year 2006:

    Chairman - Mr Wilfred Roberts
    Vice - Chairman - Ms Carolyn Ferguson
    Secretary - Mr Sheldon Smith
    Treasurer - Mr Howard Taffe
