Holiday Greetings from IEEE Orlando Section

Dear Fellow IEEE Members,

Holiday greetings from your professional home, IEEE Orlando Section. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family! We really appreciate your support and participation in Section activities in year 2008, and ask for your continued support and involvements in year 2009, the year of bull in Chinese Zodiac.

As an IEEE member residing in central Florida, you are a member of IEEE Orlando Section; if you are a member of one or more IEEE societies, you are also a member of their chapters within Orlando Section. Orlando Section and its Chapters are here to serve you IEEE members of Central Florida, and striking to be your professional home through your life cycles, whether you are a student member, a freshly minted engineer or well established in your career.
https://www.ieee.org/orlando is your professional home on the Web. Both the Section and Chapters hold periodic social and technical events throughout the year. Please visit Web site for most up-to-date information about your very own Orlando Section.

On May 13th, 2009, IEEE will turn 125 year old, and on the very same day, Orlando Section will turn 50 years old. To celebrate the 125th anniversary of IEEE and the 50th year anniversary of the Orlando Section, we will have celebratory events throughout the year, in particular, February through May. We solicit your ideas and contributions for these upcoming events.

If you have not renewed your IEEE membership for 2009 yet, please do so at your earliest convenience. Don't forget to add one society membership when you renew.

Happy Holiday!

Donghui Wu, Ph.D. Section Chair 2009
and Orlando Section Executive Committee
