Business Systems Analyst-HEA000H1 
 
Description 
 
A highly organized, self-motivated team player with excellent verbal and written 
communication skills needed to fill a critical role in our Product Management 
Department.  The Business Analyst will work with a cross-functional team to 
define functional/business requirements and then translate them into software 
requirements specifications. 
 
Job Requirements: 
·  Create and update requirements documentation for projects starting from 
initial envisioning stages through detailed functional and business requirements 
(20%) 
·  Coordination and leading of requirements gathering sessions/meetings, 
including acquiring sign-off from all project stakeholders (30%) 
·  Wireframe creation of website pages for inclusion in requirements 
specifications documents (5%) 
·  Creation of process flow and use-case documentation (10%) 
·  Manage document template library including periodic review/update of existing 
templates and creation of new templates (1%) 
·  Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of all 
documentation (including formal signoffs/approvals) as well as to provide input 
into project plans (1%) 
·  Write comprehensive master test plans from the Functional Specification 
Documents, Business Requirements Documents, and Technical Design Documents (4%) 
·  Understand and analyze business requirements for testability and completeness 
(5%) 
·  Decompose requirements into test conditions, cases, and scripts, and enter 
into Quality Center (5%) 
·  Create project plans for test planning and execution (1%) 
·  Review test cases and other testing artifacts created by other team members 
for completeness and accuracy (1%) 
·  Work closely with internal clients to create UAT test plans and oversee the 
execution of them (1%) 
·  Create complex, reusable test data sets (1%) 
·  Participate in functional, regression, end-to-end, system, and user 
acceptance testing to ensure that requirements are met (5%) 
·  Troubleshoot defects or environment issues and facilitate remediation (1%) 
·  Precisely and thoroughly document defects and work with developers to resolve 
them (1%) 
·  Develop reports in testing/QA applications such as HP Quality Center (1%) 
·  Communicate with project manager(s) for assigned project on testing status, 
issues, risks, etc. (5%) 
·  Drive test deliverables on a project basis being responsive to schedule and 
quality requirements (1%) 
·  Implement test (verification and validation) practices, standards, and 
processes (1%) 
 
 
Qualifications 
 
·         Comprehensive knowledge of documentation associated with requirements 
and software testing 
·         Experience with clinical informatics and healthcare business 
intelligence 
·         2+  years of work experience defining business requirements for 
highly-complex computer systems 
·         Understanding of relational databases (such as Oracle) and database 
design 
·         Experience in healthcare technology required 
·         Understanding of, and experience with electronic healthcare languages 
such as HL7 and NCPDP 
·         Strong grasp of technology and how it plays a role in healthcare 
business processes 
·         Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems including Word, Excel, 
PowerPoint, Project, and Visio 
·         Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 
·         BS in Information Technology or Business Administration 
·         Experience with, and complete knowledge of, software development life 
cycle and other development methodologies 
·         Experience with Project Management Methodologies (PMM)
