Chairman's Corner

It is hard to believe that we are already coming up with our May ExCom Meeting!. We had a good year with several active chapters. I strongly encourage chapter chairs to attend our monthly meeting.

I would like to take this opportunity to than Al Berg, Award Chairman, for organizing the Award Banquet It was indeed a success. Also special thanks to our speaker Dr. Sam Durance. More than 50 people attended the dinner meeting. We are very proud of the section performance. Eleven Millennium medals were issued to the section... Congratulations to all.

Also on behalf of the Orlando IEEE Section, I would like to congratulate Dr. Parveen Wahid for winning the Region 3 - Outstanding Educator of the Year. As representative of the Orlando Section, Dr. Wahid will be attending the SouthEastCon conference in April, where she will be receiving her award.

Please note that the next Excom meeting will be held at Grady's at the intersection of 436 (Semoran and University Blvd). Please plan to attend.
