POWER QUALITY TUTORIAL

Power Quality A to Z! - WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Several industry experts will be giving us a day long tutorial on power
quality topics. This will be similar (same instructors) to the class
offered in Tampa earlier this year by the West Coast IEEE. The attached
document is the preliminary course outline.

PQ A_Z Outline1.doc

WHERE IS IT?
The Florida Power Corporation Office in Lake Mary, which is located on Lake
Emma Rd, about a mile south of Lake Mary Blvd.

ARE YOU OFFERING PDHS?
We will be offering 0.6 CEU credits for this course. This is equivalent to
6 PDHs. The IEEE is recognized by the State of Florida as a provider and we
will report to them the attendees, and send you an electronic certificate
for your records.

WHEN IS IT?
It will be October 3rd, from 8:30 to 4:30. We will provide coffee and water
in the morning, a box lunch, and afternoon refreshments.

HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST?
$50.00 for Members, $60.00 for Non-Members. Student pricing has not been
set yet. All of our cost estimates are not in yet, so this price is not
final, but it is our goal.

SHOULD I RSVP?
Yes, RSVP Now, don't delay. We need to start getting an idea on how many
people are interested, this will help with some of the planning details. If
seating is limited, it will be based on the date of your RSVP.

DO I NEED TO PRE-PAY?
Currently no.

IS THE SEATING LIMITED?
Possibly. If it is we will extend seats in the order the RSVP's were
received. So get those RSVPs in

This is a preliminary announcement and I apologize for some of the
uncertainty. We are going to offer this class and it is going to be on
October 3rd, we have the speakers confirmed. It is only some of the details
on the venue that we are working to resolve.

E-Pass Technology meeting and tour, may be arranged for October.

A tour of the Time Warner "On Demand" technology is being set up for January 2003.

Also in the future we are trying to arrange a tour of the Convention Center
expansion, a Universal Studios back stage tour, a MRI Tech tour and a joint
meeting with the Computer Society.

Watch your email for an Anixter Wire meeting, we are still working on the
details. This could be anything from a 1 hour dinner talk, to a full day tutorial.

See y'all at the next meeting
