Dr. W. Albert Gu

Bio:

Dr. W. Albert Gu is currently serving SAWTEK, A TriQuint Company, as the director of design engineering since July, 2002. Prior to SAWTEK, Dr. Gu co-founded a start-up company in Taiwan - The Global Communication Technology Corp., or GCTC, as a GaAs and SAW foundries in 2000. From 1991 to 2000, Dr. Gu was a principle staff engineer at Motorola Labs working mostly on innovative RF circuit design for wireless communications. Before joining Motorola, Dr. Gu worked for the Sandia National Labs on the modeling of nuclear reactor containment after a severe core melt down accident. Dr. Gu received his BS degree in Nuclear Engineering from the National Tsing-Hwa University in 1978 (Hsin-Chu, Taiwan); a MS degree also in Nuclear Engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1982, and a Doctoral degree in Engineering from Kansas State University in 1990.
