Semiconductor Test / Device Engineer, Radiation Hard Nanoelectronics

Location: Silicon Valley, CA and Boston, MA
Will be responsible for data acquisition and evaluation, as well as tracking of process induced parameter spreads. This position will also serve as the focal point for device engineering This is a key position on a multimillion dollar radiation hard nanoelectronics program, using carbon nanotubes to achieve significant performance improvements within a CMOS process.
Education
Ph.D. in device physics or related field.
Experience
-Definition of Design for Test requirements, together with Design and Customers, definition of Test Plans. - Development of Test Programs used in the factories for IC test on wafers and after packaging: your Test Programs will be used in all phases of the product life, prototyping, characterization, qualification, ramp up and mass production. - Product characterization and assessment in collaboration with the Design and Failure analysis teams.- Yield, Test Time, Test throughput and Cost optimization in collaboration with fabrication sites. Experience testing novel non-volatile memory like FeRAM, MRAM, OUM/CPM, etc.
-Characterisation of new semiconductor devices, Product Yield Enhancement and Quality improvement, Generation of test limits and guard-bands
-Qualification of new semiconductor devices .
-knowledge of SPC & other semiconductor Yield Enhancement and analytical methods.
-experienced in testing Semiconductor devices using ATE or bench test equipment,
-understanding of IC manufacturing methods
-understanding of package assembly technology,
-understanding of common semiconductor qualification test methodologies.
 
Experience as a process test and measurement engineer required. Experience evaluating novel integrated circuits preferred.
 
Skills
Expert in process metrology including design and evaluation of test structures, as well as use of test equipment and development of test procedures. Experience as a device engineer solving difficult product development issues.

#1 Radiation Hard Electronics Program Manager (PM)
 
Location: VA (This means that relocation will be required, almost certainly)
 
Role
The PM will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating a multimillion dollar radiation hard nanoelectronics program with approximately 10 direct reports.
 
Education
MS or PhD in engineering or physical science required. MBA a plus.
 
Experience
8+ years experience in most or all areas of semiconductor manufacturing and process/circuit development -- include design, fabrication, test.
Experience managing multi-million dollar programs with the Government is highly desired.
 
Skills
Business (program management, leadership, financial, etc.) and technical competence. Must be eligible for TS//SCI security clearance.
Ability to assess, distill, and communicate technical and programmatic progress in both formal and informal settings.
 
Background
Record of publication including technical papers & patents a plus
Prior product development experience also desirable.
Introduction of novel technologies into a CMOS fab is desirable.
 

#2 Engineering Leader, Radiation Hard Electronics

 
Location: VA
 
Role
The engineering leader is responsible for all fabrication on a multimillion dollar radiation hard nanoelectronics program. He / she will lead the process development and process integration. This is a hands on position requiring Workstream tracking, design of experiments, etc. This person will also be the focal point for the integration function to take the unit fabrication processes and create integrated devices.
 
Education
Advanced degree in engineering or physical science required. PhD or extensive patent portfolio preferred.
 
Experience
10+ years experience integration of unit processes required. Extensive knowledge of device physics required. Semiconductor unit process experience (photo, etch, CVD, PVD, diffusion, etc.) required. An understanding of nano-devices or MEMS devices would be very beneficial. Testing / packaging experience a plus.
 
Skills
Ability to lead small team of engineers in a fast-paced development environment. Ability to hit deadlines and communicate results of technical tasks.
 
Background
Must be eligible for TS//SCI security clearance.
 
Senior Process Engineer
 
This position is responsible for developing advanced semiconductor processing methods for nanostructure based non-volatile memory devices compatible with CMOS fabrication requirements. Candidate must have commanding knowledge and extensive working experience with developing oxides, dielectric materials, CVD/PVD processes; metallization and contact techniques used in non-volatile memory devices. Candidate will be working with a diverse team of engineers, physicists, and chemists in a dynamic environment.
 
Experience and Job Requirements: A Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electric Engineering, Physics, or Chemical Engineering is required with at least three years of industry experience.
 
Process Development Engineer
 
This position is responsible for the development of nanowire-based thin film transistor processes. Understanding of and development/production experience with MOS devices is required. Candidate must have wide experience with transistor processing and an understanding of overall process issues. Candidate will work with a team of engineers and scientists to develop overall process, with attention paid to performance, yield and economic benefits and advantages.
 
Experience and Job Requirements: Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent and at least 10 years of relevant industrial experience.
