Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Performs work involving conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys and structures with relatively few complex features. Responsible for preparation and completion of discipline engineering designs that are responsive to project needs. Coordinate the preparation of design details, plans and drawings within the assigned task areas or scope.
 
Responsible for discipline engineering designs. Negotiate services and staff hours, provide review and comments to design plans prepared by others, and coordinate with local governments and non-public entities. Help supervise, schedule, coordinate and monitor work of project team members. Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. Responsible for productivity of other team contributors; and ensuring the project is on time and on budget.
 
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical engineering field. Candidates with significantly more experience will also be considered.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in FL or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
Knowledge of DOT or public works roadway lighting experience required.
Familiar with DOT design and lighting standards. DOT- Highway lighting; IMSA- Roadway Lighting.

Electrical Engineer - Traffic/Roadway position in Orlando.
 
DESCRIPTION:
The Roadway Lighting Engineer will be responsible for overseeing lighting design projects.  They will negotiate services and staff hours, provide review and comments to design plans prepared by others, and coordinate with local government and non-public entities.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10 years of FDOT or public works roadway lighting experience.  Must have Florida P.E in electrical engineering.  Familiarity with FDOT design and lighting standards beneficial.
