The Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEE) is the technical professional organization of engineers located in the United Kingdom
The Faraday Lecture provides a realistic context for the work of engineers and the fascinating world of science and high technology, both now and in the future. It is a unique educational event organized annually by the IEE in partnership with IEEE and other organizations. Sound FX is a one-hour long FREE interactive presentation, aimed at 14-16 year olds, which shows students just how exciting music technology can be. Combining multimedia and live demonstrations, Sound FX will inspire students, making their subsequent science and music lessons more enjoyable

This meeting is open to members, guests and spouses. If you know of any pre college students interested in becoming an an engineer, please invite him or her.
There is no charge.

IEEE VEHICULAR TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE-2004
For members interested in wireless technology, the conference has become the premier event. Although, the society does proceed in the vehicular technology area, much of the wireless community has come to dominate this conference and present their ideas, work and energy at this conference. Even if you can not attend, it is an important event to follow for wireless.

IEEE INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL POWER SYSTEMS CONFERENCE-TAMPA
This conference is close to our area and is of interest to those in the power engineering community. Technical sessions and tutorials will be presented, including the Color Book series.

VOLUNTEERS
Please help the section and volunteer your time. There are several openings including Secretary/Treasurer and Awards and Recognition Chair.
There are also several jobs involving email and computer activities, including sending Thank You emails, greeting emails to new members and posting meeting invitations and other timely projects. Send an email to the section address for a complete list.

MEETINGS
Meetings are open to both members and nonmembers. Please take some time out of your busy schedule and come to one meeting. Bring your spouse or a colleague from work. There is generally no charge, except for tutorials and credit courses.

Advertisements for companies seeking employees or advertising products and services can be placed in the eBulletin or on the website. Send a e-mail to the section address. Members can also place an ad on the website gratis.
