MEETING INVITATION-COMMUNICATIONS SOCIETY LECTURE

What:

Virtual Prototyping for Systems on Chip (SoC) Based Designs- Is this the need of the hour? The combination of intense time-to-market pressures and the relentless growth in the design complexity has rendered old development models inefficient. Surveys has shown that more than half of all chips require at least one revision to fix errors. The cost estimate is over $1 M and a new approach is needed. This presentation covers the evolving role of hardware designers and outlines the requirements for effective performance by means of virtual prototyping (VP). This approach has a number of advantages.
