- "Ultra-Wideband
and Impulse Radio for Wireless
Communications"
- The high demand
for communications anywhere and anytime has been
the driving force for the development of
wireless services and technologies. Impulse
radio (IR) base ultra-wideband (UWB) is becoming
an attractive solution wireless
communications.
- In this
presentation, UWB technology for low power and
high data rate wireless communication systems
will be discussed. First, an overview, followed
by digital receiver design will be
discussed.

- Huseyin Arslan,
Ph D
- Dr. Arslan
received his Ph D in 1998 from Southern
Methodist U, Dallas TX. He was with Ericsson,
Inc involved in research in 2G and 3G wireless
communications. Since 2002, he has been with the
University of South Florida, Tampa, Dept. of
Electrical Engineering. His research interests
are related to advanced signal processing
techniques for wireless communications systems.
He has served as technical program committee
member in several IEEE conferences. He is senior
member in IEEE. He has written several
publications and is editing a book.

MEETINGS
Meetings are open to both members and nonmembers. Please
take some time out of your busy schedule and come to one
meeting. Bring your spouse or a colleague from work. There
is generally no charge, except for tutorials and credit
courses.
