Message from the Chair
As the summer draws to a close, the Executive Committee of the Piedmont Section is excited to continue our 2011 theme of electric vehicle technology. This month our meeting will feature a speaker and plant tour hosted by Proterra in Greenville, SC. Meeting details are included in this newsletter.
Don't forget that our electric vehicle technology theme this year is in anticipation of the IEEE International Electric Vehicle Conference (electricvehicle.ieee.org ) to be held at the TD Convention Center and CUICAR in Greenville from March 4 to March 8 of next year. With the anticipated turnout for this conference, we will likely send a call for volunteers to our section membership as the conference draws nearer. In you're interested in volunteering for the conference, please contact any of the Piedmont Section Executive Committee so we can keep you posted with developments.
And as always, if you have meeting ideas or are interested in speaking at an upcoming meeting then we would like to hear from you. We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming meetings.
