1. PRODUCT SAFETY ENGINEERING BECOMES 38TH IEEE SOCIETY
The IEEE Board of Directors has established the new IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society for 2004. This brings the total number to 38 societies and four technical councils. An IEEE society is made up of individual IEEE members and affiliates interested in a specific area of technology. For more information on IEEE societies, please visit: www.ieee.org/societies

2. IEEE MEMBER DIGITAL LIBRARY FILE CABINET MADE MORE FLEXIBLE
The IEEE Member Digital Library personal electronic file cabinet feature has been enhanced, allowing subscribers to sort stored articles by publication name, primary author, and original filing date in both ascending and descending order. These enhancements provide easier access to documents subscribers have already researched and filed. The IEEE Member Digital Library gives subscribers access to all IEEE journals and conference proceedings published in the last five years through IEEE Xplore. For more information on the IEEE Member Digital Library, visit: www.ieee.org/ieeemdl

3. IEEE PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY PROGRAM PROTECTS ENTREPRENEURIAL ENGINEERS
For self-employed engineers and small engineering firms, finding affordable professional liability insurance can be very difficult. Fortunately for IEEE members, the task has become easier with the IEEE Professional Liability Program from the IEEE Financial Advantage Program. Among other benefits, the program includes expert legal council and competitive group rates. To learn more about this and other IEEE insurance programs, visit: www.ieeeinsurance.com
