From our records, our Central Texas Consultants Network has a total of 45 members. If you do not consider yourself a member of the IEEE Central Texas Consultants Network, please let Robert
Spiegel know.
Also please remember that in order to remain a member you should attend our meetings at least twice a year. Information about our meetings can be found at the
Austin
Chapter website.
Engineering Management Society (EMS)
The IEEE Engineering Management Society (EMS) directs its efforts toward advancing the practice of engineering and technology management as a professional discipline, encouraging theory development for managing organizations with a high engineering or technical content, and promoting high professional standards among its members.

Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society
(EMBS)
With more than one-fourth of its approximately 8,000 members residing outside of the United States, the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) is the largest international society of Biomedical Engineers in terms of the number of individual members. EMBS has been serving the needs of Biomedical Engineers throughout the world since the early 1950's and through its leadership is striving to develop new ways to serve its members with workshops, publications, and distinguished lecture series.

Electromagnetic Compatibility Society
(EMCS)
Our chapter, under the guidance of the Central Texas Section of the IEEE, is open to practitioners in the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) design, test, and certification. Our members include technicians, engineers, consultants, and other professionals ranging in expertise from entry level to those of international renown.
EMC is a field that encompasses ESD, EMI, Communications and Network Security, Bonds and Grounds, Shielding, a variety of Military specific specialties, and more. Our skills are evoked from product concept, design for EMC, government agency test and certification such as FCC or CE, to managing continuing product compliance through ECO and manufacturing controls.
Communication / Signal Processing Society
ComSoc/SP is a community comprised of a diverse group of industry professionals with a common interest in advancing all communications technologies. To that end, the Society sponsors publications, conferences, educational programs, local activities, and technical committees that:
- Foster original work in all aspects of communications science, engineering, and technology.
- Encourage the development of applications that use signals to transfer voice, data, image, and/or video information between locations.
- Promote the theory and use of systems involving all types of terminals, computers, and information processors; all pertinent systems and operations that facilitate transfer; all transmission media; switched and unswitched networks; and network layouts, protocols, architectures, and implementations.
- And strongly advance developments toward meeting new market demands in systems, products, and technologies such as personal communications services, multimedia communications systems, enterprise networks, and optical communications systems.
Women In Engineering (WIE)
This chapter is part of the IEEE Women in Engineering organization.
The focus is to serve the membership through stimulating further involvement with IEEE and providing opportunities for professional development and networking. We expect to have significant representation from industry, academia, and other career ventures that encompass interest in the IEEE.

Circuits and Systems/Solid-State
Circuits Joint Societies Chapter (CH05188)
The Solid-State Circuits / Circuits and Systems societies have a
joint chapter in the Central Texas section of the IEEE. The Solid-State Circuits Society is interested in all aspects of
solid-state circuits: the design, testing and application of circuits and
subsystems, as well as closely related topics in device technology and circuit
theory. We also focus on scientific, technical and industrial applications, in
addition to other activities that contribute to the field, or utilize the
techniques or products of the field, as the art develops.
The Circuits
and Systems Society is interested in the theory, analysis, design (computer
aided design), and practical implementation of circuits, and the application of
circuit theoretical techniques to systems and to signal processing. The coverage
of this field includes the spectrum of activities from, and including, basic
scientific theory to industrial applications.
