Community Service

The Panhandle Section of the IEEE is pleased to be helping our community by sponsoring special projects spearheaded by our new chair John Vara. One of the Panhandle Section Projects has been collecting personal computers and peripherals donated by various members, their companies and other organizations. The PC's are refurbished and donated to non-profit organizations in the community. If any member has any PCs or peripherals to donate, please contact John Vara  and be assured they will be put to good use. This exciting and rewarding project can only work with your support. Let us hear from you!

The Panhandle Section is also sponsoring Amarillo Area Center for Advance Learning (AACAL) 19 member students who will be competing in the FIRST Robotics Regional (FRC) Competition in Lubbock on February 28, 2013.
