IEEE St. Louis Section Education Society Chapter

History: This chapter was formed 09 May 2005 with approval of the IEEE Regional Activities Board (RAB). Chapter formation organizer was Fran Harackiewicz, Senior Member IEEE and Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Awards:

Congratulations to chapter member William P. Osborne, Emeritus Professor and Dean, College of Engineering, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, who was elected IEEE Fellow with citations for contributions to and leadership in engineering education. Election to the grade of IEEE Fellow, is the IEEE's most prestigious honor. The total number of IEEE FELLOWS selected in any one year does not exceed one-tenth of one percent of the total voting Institute membership.
