IEEE GOLD - Phoenix Chapter

Open a connection with your peers!

IEEE GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) is a peer group among our membership formed to help bridge the transition from student to career professional and to also develop IEEE activities of interest for this group. This forms a group of IEEE members who have received their first professional degree in the last ten years.

Connect with your peers to share experiences, network, by initiating a GOLD program in your IEEE Section or Chapter. Find out how you can be involved by contacting your Region GOLD Coordinator.

Obligatory flowchart for those that have been engineers for longer than we have

The GOLD program has been established to provide the framework and tools for the Section's use in retaining this valuable group of members. Identifying those who make up this affinity group, determining their needs and expectations, and acting to meet those needs and expectations, the goal of GOLD is to add such value to the IEEE membership that the recent graduate finds.

It is not the purpose of GOLD to supplant the Section Student Activities Committee (SAC), student Branch Mentor or any other section officer, but, rather to complement the efforts of Section representatives interested in assisting recent graduates.
