The Hetch Hetchy Irvington Pumping Station is property that BART is acquiring from the City & County of San Francisco. All structures on this property will be demolished to make way for the BART Warm Springs Extension Project, extending approximately 5 miles south from the existing Fremont Station. John Ruzek has assembled several photographs of the interior of the Pump House showing some of the equipment (late 1940's vintage) that we hope can be preserved in a museum or other facility. Mr. Ruzek has an 18 page "Historical Resource Study" on the Irvington Pumping Station prepared by Page & Turnbull, Inc in 2000.

For more information or if you have any ideas about preserving this equipment, please contact
