Goals, Objectives, and Fields of Interest

from the IEEE Education Society Constitution

The goals and objectives of the Education Society are to advance the theory, practice and accessibility of engineering education and to assist in achieving overall IEEE goals.

Specific objectives can be grouped into three categories:

  • Improve service to members
  • Provide service to community and society
  • Improve communications
Strengthening the Society is essential in order to achieve these objectives.

The Education Society's fields of interest include:

  • educational methods
  • educational technology
  • instructional materials
  • history of science and technology
  • educational and professional development programs within electrical engineering, computer engineering, and allied disciplines.
