This position will be responsible for working closely with
product development teams to support the proactive design of high reliability
vehicles and subsystems. In addition, the reactive element of this position
will include tracking and management of failure analysis and driving

Support reliability & warranty cost modeling to provide proactive
feedback to development teams.
Work with service organization to develop service strategies in
support of reliability goals for the vehicle.
Develop reliability test plans to improve the robustness of the
vehicle and to assure reliability goals can be achieved. Consult with design
teams on the use of HALT, HASS, DVT, Functional and ALT type testing.
Participate in design reviews to assure product subsystem reliability
considerations are being addressed.
Manage and facilitate the failure analysis process to assure root
cause is identified for product failures.
Support development teams in analysis of field failures.
Develop ongoing reliability performance metrics and Pareto analysis
and lead management reviews to define reliability improvement priorities.
Drive continuous management focus on reliability improvement
activities and priorities.

Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science degree
in engineering.
Degree in systems or
reliability engineering is preferred.
A minimum of 8 years of
experience with at least 5 years in a Reliability Engineering role.
Experience working with
complex electro-mechanical systems.
Specific training and
demonstrated success in applying reliability modeling techniques.
Use of Relex, PRISM, Reliasoft
or other reliability modeling packages.
Demonstrated statistical
analysis experience to include process capability analysis, hypothesis
testing, Monte Carlo Analysis, DoE, SPC, Measurement system analysis, etc.
Minitab or other statistical
software capabilities are preferred.
Six Sigma Black Belt
certification is preferred.
Experience with applying
various Design Validation Testing (DVT) techniques including HALT, HASS and
ALT testing.
Excellent oral, written and

A working knowledge of risk/hazard analysis as called out in ISO
