Award recognizes IEEE Section member new to the career, within three years, which demonstrate significant contributions to their profession. Winning candidate becomes the Section’s nominee for Area and Region Awards for this category.

Outstanding Leadership and Professional Service Award

Award recognizes IEEE Section members who through their professional and technical abilities have made outstanding and noteworthy contributions to the Institute, their communities, fellow professionals and fellow man, The award is not designed to recognize a single achievement, but rater collective contributions complemented by singular works exemplifying the objectives and attributes of IEEE. Winning candidate becomes the Section’s nominee for Area and Region Awards for this category.

Outstanding Corporate Service to Engineering Community Award

Award recognizes a Utah company, or division of a company, that encourage volunteerism through its practices. In particular, the atmosphere created by the company to facilitate the IEEE volunteer(s) to do his or her job, or supporting the volunteers by permitting free or discounted use of company resources. Winning candidate becomes the Section’s nominee for Area and Region Awards for this category.

Outstanding Student Branch Award

Award recognizes an IEEE Utah Student Branch on its success in carrying out the objectives of IEEE through the implementation of programs. The successful maintenance of ongoing efforts designed to sustain the basic activities and the Student Branch and its components as well as recognizing innovative and creative efforts to develop and implement new programs. Winning candidate becomes the Section’s nominee for Area and Region Awards for this category.
