| Title: Human and Global Aspects of Knowledge
Management | |
| Speakers: Gord Bell Andy Blenkarn |
| Abstract: This presentation will provide a quick glimpse at the human factors to be considered when designing and implementing an enterprise knowledge management solution. The proliferation of enterprise portals, content management, document management, and records management solutions, necessitates that we review the business rules and cultural changes required to support these business and technology innovations. Our experience has proven that implementing a knowledge management solution is 65% business and culture and 35% technology. The business rules driving information management, publishing, standards, enterprise security and branding are key considerations of a successful solution. This presentation will explore the human and global aspects of knowledge management and how these solutions allow employees, partners, suppliers, customers or constituents to find pertinent information expediently, collaborate on specific topics or issues, and exchange business transactions and information. | |
