Biography

Dr. Sadeghian received the B. A.Sc. (Hons.) degree from Tehran Polytechnic University, the M.A.Sc from the University of Toronto, and the Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, all in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Dr. Sadeghian is the Assistant Chair of the Department of Mathematics, Physics & Computer Science at Ryerson University and has an adjunct position with the Department of Computing & Information Science at the University of Guelph.

He has published more than 20 papers in the areas of Knowledge-Based Expert Systems, Artificial Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic Systems, Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Networks, and Nonlinear Modeling. He has served on a number of professional and academic boards such as Education Committee of IEEE Neural Network Council, reviewer for PREA (Premier's Research Excellence Awards), reviewer for the academic journals -- IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics; IEEE Transactions on Magnetics; IEEE Transactions on Magnetics; IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics; Journal of Fuzzy Sets & Systems -- and he has lectured extensively on Artificial Intelligence. He is a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers), and NAFIPS (North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society).
