Abstract

The talk is entitled "Amateur Radio Satellites" and it will describe the current and future satellite plans of AMSAT. AMSAT is an non-profit organization dedicated to the design and construction of low-cost satellites that provide radio communication for satellites all around the world. Since its founding in 1969, AMSAT and its affiliated groups have launched 51 satellites, built from donated parts with volunteer labour. AMSAT has pioneered a new approach to satellite development[1].
