Janet Holder, President of Enbridge
Gas Distribution
Janet Holder was appointed President of Enbridge Gas
Distribution in January 2008. She is responsible for the overall
leadership and operations of Enbridge Gas Distribution, Canada’s
largest natural gas utility with 1.9 million residential, commercial
and industrial customers in communities including Toronto, Ottawa,
Niagara Falls and Barrie.
Ms. Holder also provides oversight for utility and non-regulated
businesses in Eastern Canada and the United States including Enbridge
Gas New Brunswick, St. Lawrence Gas in New York State, Gazifère in
Quebec, Enbridge Ontario Wind Power and Enbridge Electric. Ms. Holder
is also a member of Calgary-based Enbridge Inc.’s Corporate Leadership
Team. Prior to her appointment as President, Ms. Holder was Vice
President, Enbridge Pipelines Inc. in Edmonton.
Ms. Holder first joined Enbridge at the utility she now leads in 1992,
holding progres-sively more strategic roles in areas including gas
supply and as Vice
President of Energy Services, Market Development and Operations. In
2004 she became Vice President, Marketing Services in Calgary before
moving to Edmonton.
Ms. Holder serves on the boards of the Canadian Gas Association, the
Ontario Energy Association, Saint Elizabeth Health Care Foundation
(Vice Chair) and the West Park Healthcare Centre Foundation and is the
Chair of the Natural Resource Division United Way Toronto Campaign
Cabinet. She has also served on boards including the Canadian District
Energy Association, the Ontario Natural Gas Association and the
Greater Toronto Marketing Alliance (Vice Chair).
Born in British Columbia, Ms. Holder holds a bachelor of science in
Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and a
masters of business administration from McMaster University. She was
a member of the first graduating class of the Directors College at
McMaster University where she received her Chartered Director’s
designation. Ms. Holder is based in Toronto.

Laura Formusa, President & Chief Executive Officer, Hydro One Inc.,
Ontario Canada
Laura Formusa was appointed President and Chief Executive
Officer, Hydro One Inc., on November 23, 2007, having served as the
company’s President and Chief Executive Officer of Hydro One Inc.
(acting) since December 8, 2006.
Ms. Formusa joined Ontario Hydro in 1980, following her call to the
Bar of Ontario. Ms. Formusa has been
a member of the Executive Committee since 2003 and previously held the
position of Secretary to the Board
of Directors. She held various senior positions until being appointed
General Counsel of Hydro One Networks
Inc. in 2000. She was appointed Hydro One’s General Counsel and
Secretary in 2003.
Ms. Formusa is a tireless advocate for diversity, removing barriers in
the workplace for visible minorities
and women. Her efforts saw the Company ranked as the number one
Corporate Citizen in Canada on the
Corporate Knights annual ranking in 2009. In 2008, Ms. Formusa was
named to the Women’s Executive
Network’s Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 list. Ms. Formusa is
also a founding member of the
Women of Energy group to advance women’s issues and to create critical
networking opportunity for high
potential women in the energy sector. Ms. Formusa is also in her
second three-year term as a Trustee of
the Banting Research Foundation, serving as Chair of the Foundation’s
Audit Committee.
Ms. Formusa earned her Bachelor of Laws degree at Osgoode Hall Law
School and was admitted to the
Law Society of Upper Canada in 1980.
Shannon O'Connor, Director, IBM Canada Business Partners
Shannon O’Connor is Director, IBM Canada Business Partners and is
responsible for revenue and growth of IBM products and services sold
with Business Partners across Canada. She also serves on the IBM
Canada senior leadership team for sales and distribution.
Shannon was named to her present position in October, 2007. Prior to
this appointment, she has held numerous sales, marketing, operations
and management roles within IBM Canada and IBM North America.
Shannon is an active member in Women in Technology and focuses her
volunteer work encouraging our future leaders to pursue
technology-based careers. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science
(Systems Design Engineering) from University of Waterloo and lives
with her husband and two children in Ontario.
