| Summary: Tests and measurements play a major role in the compliance to regulations and the certification process of nuclear, military and aerospace instrumentation. In this talk, an overview of qualification requirements, such as vibration, seismic, shock, salt and fog, altitude, thermal shock, sand and dust and electromagnetic compatibility will be presented. Canadian, US and International regulations and their application to design, manufacturing and tests will be discussed. Issues associated with tests and measurements will be discussed in some detail, including techniques, equipment and accuracy considerations. | |
