IEEE Toronto Section Executive Committee Biographies
The operation of the IEEE Toronto Section is managed by the Section
Executive committee, whose members are elected or appointed every two
years. On each of these pages, we introduce a member of the committee who
volunteers his or her time and energy to deliver the services that the
IEEE Toronto Section provides. On your behalf, we recognize their
invaluable contributions.

Al Wallis, SM IEEE - Section Audit Committee Chair
Al is an electrical engineer with 40 years experience in engineering
design and management, mainly in the consulting field. He has been
involved with a number of major projects, principally in the resource
industries.
Al is a registered engineer in both Ontario and Quebec, a Designated
Consulting Engineer in Ontario, and a Senior Member of IEEE.
Al has been a member of IEEE since 1980. Originally a Montrealer , Al
was transferred to Toronto in 1983 and became active in the Toronto
Section in the early 90's. He is a past Chair of the IAS Chapter and
served as Treasurer of the Section from 1996 to December 2005. Starting
January 2006 he is the chair of the Section Audit Committee.
