IEEE Toronto 2010 Annual General Meeting and Awards Dinner

This annual event is an opportunity for IEEE Toronto Section members to network with each other and meet the dedicated group of IEEE volunteers who give of their time to plan, organize and execute the wide range of programs offered within the Section and elsewhere in Canada.
This years event's Keynote speaker is Mr. Justin Webb, VP of Olympic Services & Operations, Bell Canada
who will deliver a speech on “Logistics and Project Management of Delivering the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games"

Help Pakistan - A Special Message from the IEEE President to IEEE Members

Earlier this year the IEEE Community responded with generosity and compassion to the devastating earthquake in Haiti by donating to an IEEE fund established through the IEEE Foundation. Today, as the world begins to realize the significance of the recent massive flooding in Pakistan, IEEE is responding to the need for international support and has established the IEEE Pakistan Engineering Educational and Professional Development Rebuilding Fund. IEEE volunteers, members, staff and friends are encouraged to contribute to this fund. IEEE will match the first US$50,000 in donations....Click to read more

Future Senior Members of the IEEE Toronto Section   Have you been in professional practice for at least ten years and have shown significant performance over a period of at least five of those years?   You should be an IEEE Senior Member.   Need help in obtaining your three references?   We will help you - just contact Ramiro Liscano, our membership chair.   Please click this link to find out the advantages, the requirements, and an explanation of the process including key links to apply online.


Volunteers



Volunteering a few hours a month is a very rewarding experience - we have a great group of about 45 volunteers who contribute to the smooth running of our Section - by distributing the workload over many Section members, the individual load is kept small. If you are interested, please contact our Section Chair Alex Bot at this
