This task group is concerned with the application of numerical methods and models like MoM, FDTD, FEM, BEM, TLM,...

Currently the group develops and maintains a catalog of benchmarks. These benchmarks are related to a variety of specific EMC problems:
• antennas, radiation and scattering problems,
• shielding,
• coupling into lines,
• PCBs and patch antennas.
Some important examples were presented in a workshop during the IEEE EMC Symposium in Washington 2000. Meanwhile other examples of the catalog have been treated and the catalog has been extended by further benchmarks. In the following contributions several new examples are treated by MOM, FDTD, PEEC and other methods and results are compared. The aim is to discuss
• the tasks and the numerical results of the extended benchmarks,
• their relations to EMC problems,
• and the difficult task of rating the numerical methods with respect to the different
applications.
