2003 and a general election were held on 2004 to elect the
chapter officers (for one year term ending December 31, 2004)

Flexible AC Transmission System: The talk highlight the concepts
of the flexible AC transmission system (FACTS), advantages and
the main devices associated with it. Real example of existing
systems was provided.
