Ideas Challenge Contest :

Organized jointly by the IEEE Saudi Education Society Chapter & KFUPM.

Objectives:

King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) is among the leading technical universities in the Middle East. In addition to preparing its students technically, KFUPM is striving to enhance the entrepreneurship spirit among its students and the community at large. Close cooperation between the educational institutes, professional society and the business community is a major catalyst for the infusion of the entrepreneurship spirits.

The aim of this competition is to enhance the entrepreneurship spirit amongst the students by encouraging them to perform a preliminary market analysis and come up with ideas that have business potential.

Participation in the ideas challenge will encourage students to participate in a subsequent business plan challenge that is being planned at KFUPM.

Who can participate?

The competition is open to all KFUPM students and participation can be individually or in teams (up to 3 students). After registration, the teams need to fill in and submit an online form . In the form, each team is to outline its idea, provide the elevator pitch and a brief market/competition/growth strategy.
