Text Box: The .pr Domain: Past, Present, and Future
Abstract:: This seminar will present the .pr domain from a historic perspective, taking into account the principal technological ideas that are sustaining the domain such as: Local Networks, DNS, Anycast technology, DNS-SEC (and his relation to public key cryptography), watermarking (and his relation to Frequency Hoop Codes). We will also discuss the current relationship between the .pr domain and other professional organizations such as ICANN, ARIN, IEEE, LACTLD, and others.

The seminar will also cover current .pr domain projects areas such as:
Puerto Rico Internet Exchange
Cyberlaw (Puerto Rico Senate project 1205)
Academic Communities
Commercial Communities
